Lauded as one of '16 Incredibly Impressive Students at Princeton University’ by Business Insider, American pianist Edward Leung has performed in concert halls across North America, Europe, and Asia. 

This season’s highlights include recitals with Guy Johnston and Anthony Friend at Musicfest Aberystwyth, and William Hagen at the Shreveport Symphony Chamber Music Series. He holds the current Philharmonia MMSF Piano Fellowship, and has won all the major prizes at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. He has made concerto appearances with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Filarmonica Mihail Jora Bacau. He is represented by The Keyboard Charitable Trust in London and Live Music Now UK.

A sought-after chamber musician, Edward is a member of the award-winning duo, Kapoor-Leung Duo, with violinist Usha Kapoor. Winners of the 2020 Tunnell Trust Awards and the 2018 Birmingham International Piano Chamber Music Competition, the Duo has performed at Wigmore Hall, Winchester Chamber Music Festival, Wye Valley Music, Marden House Concerts, and will release their debut commercial recording with Resonus Classics in the spring of 2023. Edward has also collaborated with some of the most important chamber musicians of today, including members of the Artemis, Lindsay, Elias, and Daedalus String Quartets, as well as Viviane Hagner, David Campbell, Charles Neidich, and Rafal Zambrzycki-Payne. He has worked in masterclasses with Ferenc Rados, Richard Goode, Stephen Kovacevich, Joseph Kalichstein, and Nikolai Demidenko,.

He is the cofounder of Opus 21, an innovative chamber music collective dedicated to bringing an eclectic repertory of chamber music to Princeton University and beyond. Hailed by The Daily Princetonian for its 'dramatic, exciting performances' and 'a true need in the Princeton arts community', Opus 21 has formed chamber music collaborations with Harvard and Columbia Universities, and has performed at the Harvard Club of New York, Richardson Auditorium, and the 2015 APAP|NYC for the North American premiere of Sam Wu's 'dolphin song'.

Edward received a Bachelor of Arts in the School of Public and International Affairs from Princeton University, where he studied piano with Francine Kay. In 2016 - 2017, he was named the inaugural Aske-Princeton International Fellow at The Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School in Hertfordshire, England. He received a Master of Music and Advanced Postgraduate Diploma from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, where he studied with Pascal Nemirovski. He is gratefully supported by The Keyboard Charitable Trust and Live Music Now UK. He served as the inaugural Accompanist-in-Residence and Music Partnership Coordinator at the Westminster School. Currently, Edward is a Staff Pianist at The Yehudi Menuhin School.
